Probhabok, the annual intra-department student design competition organized by the Department of Architecture, American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) since 2018, continues to provide a platform for students to explore creativity, innovation, and architectural excellence.

The fifth edition, PROBHABOK 5.0, was held on 20 August 2026, with 111 students participating in 37 groups across two categories. Category A included students from Design Studios VII–IX, while Category B included students from Design Studios IV–VI.

The competition was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice-Chancellor, AIUB, during the competition day. He visited the participating students, appreciated their work, and encouraged both the students and organizers.

The jury session was held on 25 August 2026 by a distinguished jury panel comprising Professor Dr. Masum Iqbal, Senior Assistant Professor Ajmeri Nusrat Shoma, and Assistant Professor Shoriful Islam. The jury evaluated the students' projects based on their creativity, design thinking, architectural ideas, and presentation.

The final exhibition and award ceremony took place on 27 August 2026. Professor Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, attended as the Special Guest. The event was also graced by Professor Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean, FASS, Dr. Faria Sultana, Associate Professor and Associate Dean, FASS, Dr. Sabuktagin Rahman, Senior Associate Professor and Department Head, Department of Public Health, and Ms. Sharmin Sultana, Area Manager - Prolinks, Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd. Faculty members from various departments also attended and encouraged the participating students.

The Head of the Department of Architecture, M. Arefeen Ibrahim, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the participants, distinguished guests, sponsors, faculty members, and everyone involved in making PROBHABOK 5.0 a success.

The competition was coordinated and organized by faculty members Md Rashed Hasan, Md Tarek Morad and Mehedi Amin. The award ceremony was hosted by faculty member Nusrat-E-Hoque. The event was further supported by the enthusiastic participation of first and second-year architecture students, who willingly volunteered throughout the competition and exhibition.
